Course Curriculum

The 10 days kundalini yoga advance course will be devoted to 8 hours daily practice. The practice of kundalini yoga techniques will be of six hours practical & two hours theoretical course. It yoga training will begin at sharp 5 in the morning.

Hatha Yoga Kriya

Like hatha yogi, you become obstinate to whisk your vortex and channels of energy. The length of selected hatha yoga asanas will develop. By knowing the worth of asanas, you have to bring it in practice. It assists in the whisking of sleeping serpent power in form of kundalini.

Pran Kriya

Daily Regimen

The ten days of kundalini yoga course will be eight hours of practice daily. You have to self-practice under the guidance of guru which start early in the morning and run till evening. You have to adhere to strict rules and regulations designed by Spirit Yoga Foundation for every kundalini yoga students. Diet will be light and vegetarian

Last year, I attended advance kundalini yoga course near Rishikesh. The place was the yoga center in the large campus of “Mountain Stream” resort. The practical and theoretical training of the course was well organized. Their teaching staff is professional and well qualified. I practiced pranayama, nadi shodhan and meditation techniques in most traditional way. Tandon kriya was new to me, which is put into kundalini yoga practice for mellowing sleeping kundalini by striking your lower part to the floor.


Every human being is gifted with cosmic energy in hidden form. Due to worldly illusion, you never understand your divine form of energy. It remained untapped at base chakra near origin of spinal cord. Kundalini starts with purification of subtle channels of energy by yogic breathing (pranayama). When you stir the sleeping feminine power, it paves the way for inner purification.

It is complete internal yogic action. Mastery over any one asana is must, as yoga practitioner has to sit for long hours in silent & secluded spot. You need high level of attention and concentration to meditate on chakras. Guru plays a crucial role in the stirring of kundalini. Nearly 80 percent you have to practice on your own, and rest rely on the transformation of energy from guru to disciple.

It starts with few asana series which helps in stirring kundalini and also in purification of subtle channels of energy. Then, purification of nadis and prana control is done through pranayama. The ratio of inhalation, exhalation & retention is also balanced through yogic breathing. Gesture (mudra) and locking of energy (bandhas) are other important elements of kundalini yoga. It ends with chanting of seed mantra, silence meditation & kundalini kriya.

Prana is subtle expression of supreme consciousness. In kundalini yoga, it is the vehicle or the medium for carrying consciousness. It is the symbol of kundalini power in human body. The existence of all life is owed to prana. When prana flows in all subtle parts of the body, you have actual experience of kundalini stirring at base chakra.

Chakra is wheel of psychic centers in subtle body which is total seven in number. It is bundle of pranic energy which controls the circulation of prana in the entire body. Kundalini lies in dormant state in the base chakra which is also known as mooladhara chakra. As kundalini ascends and reach at the top chakra (sahasrara chakra), the real expression of kundalini yoga start.

Hatha yoga is the stepping-stone to reach higher yoga or kundalini yoga. It elevate to the new level of consciousness after transcending the worldly consciousness. The components of hatha yoga are:
