Never allow your emotions to subdue your practice of attention. Your attention should be like that of eagle which can see the small objects on earth while soaring high in the sky. Comfortable pose, relaxed breathing and calm mind are must to master the art of yoga.
You can concentrate either on outer object or inner subject of perception. Scientists and surgeon are gifted with sharp concentration. You need high level concentration for meditation. Your concentration will be good, if you gained control over focus and attention. Sit in any comfortable pose (asana) with upright back, neck and head for practicing concentration. If your thoughts are pure, it will lead you to higher path of spirituality.
Senses have the die-hard habit of moving outwardly. Calm your senses with strong will-power and determination. Never try to curb your senses, otherwise it can be uncontrollable. Control your breath by gentle ingoing and outgoing air. It helps in developing concentration of mind without arising of conflicting thoughts.
